WEBINARS
From Baseline to MRV, Part 2: Measuring carbon and biodiversity in practice
At Fair Carbon, we’re dedicated to advancing the protection and restoration of blue carbon ecosystems by tackling key challenges in policy, finance, and technical capacity. As part of this mission, we host a webinar series featuring external experts who break down complex topics in blue carbon and carbon markets, making them more accessible and actionable.

What you’ll learn
Accurate, transparent MRV is non-negotiable: without it, a project cannot demonstrate its impact, and carbon credits risk losing legitimacy and value. Yet, challenges from data scarcity and spatial variability to lack of technical capability mean MRV remains a barrier for many.
Can technology help blue carbon projects navigate MRV more credibly, efficiently, and at scale?Building on the first webinar in this series, this session explores how technology providers are addressing the main challenges encountered by project developers to measure, verify and communicate their impact.
Through live demonstrations and detailed case studies, two technology providers, one focused on carbon outcomes and the other on biodiversity, will share stories from the ground to demonstrate how their tools are solving the hardest issues faced by projects in the field.Rather than offering a high-level overview, this webinar will show the technologies in action. Participants will gain a practical understanding of what these tools can and cannot do and understand the role technology can play to build MRV systems that are scientifically rigorous, cost-effective, and scalable.
